Nanopresso Espresso Recipe

Ibrahim Bat
To make espresso with the Wacaco Nanopresso Barista Kit, grind 10 grams of coffee beans to a fine consistency. Fill the larger coffee basket from the Barista Kit with the ground coffee, and assemble the device with the larger water tank, adding 5 ounces of hot water. Manually pump the Nanopresso until you've extracted your desired amount of espresso. This process allows you to enjoy a rich and flavorful espresso anywhere without electricity or batteries.

Equipment

  • Wacaco Nanopresso
  • Wacaco Barista Kit
  • Coffee Grinder
  • Scale optional
  • Thermometer optional

Ingredients

  • 10 g Coffee Beans fine, like finer salt
  • 5 oz Hot Water

Instructions

  • Grind 10 grams of coffee beans into a fine espresso grind.
    10 g Coffee Beans
  • Fill the Barista Kit's larger coffee basket with your freshly ground coffee. Use the scoop for an accurate measure and the tamper to evenly press the grounds.
  • Attach the larger water tank from the Barista Kit to your Nanopresso. Fill this tank with 5 ounces (about 150ml) of hot water. Then, put the device together, ensuring the coffee basket and water tank are securely in place.
    5 oz Hot Water
  • With the Nanopresso assembled, unlock the piston and start pumping manually. The first few pumps will wet the grounds (pre-infusion), enhancing the coffee's flavor. Continue pumping until you've reached the desired amount of espresso.
  • Once you've extracted your espresso, you can enjoy it straight from the built-in cup or pour it into another cup.
