Musical Marathons: Composers and Their Hours of Music!

Have you ever wondered?

How much music famous composers have written?
How many hours worth of music did each composer write?

Recently, I found a really interesting chat on Reddit from 2016 where people were talking about how long it would take to listen to all of a composer’s music. They were also talking about how big the collection of all their music would be if you had it on CDs.

And I decided to turn this eye-opening discussion into an infographic.

In this infographic, we’ve illustrated the duration required to listen through the entire musical repertoire of 30 different composers. This range includes greats from Beethoven to Mozart and spans other masters like Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Wagner, and Liszt.

Note: Please note that the works of several renowned composers listed here were unfortunately lost during World War II. Because of this, we can’t be entirely sure of the total amount of music some composers created. Also, keep in mind that this infographic is not an academic study but a visual representation to share interesting insights.
